This is probably some of the best early teal hunting in the continental U.S. This area (around Delaplaine, Arkansas) is chocked full of blue wing and green wing teal (maybe a couple of cinnamon straglers) in marshes, wetlands, and flooded timber that is surrounded by 100,000 's of acres of planted rice. 2008 saw about a 15% increase in birds from the previous year. We look to break that record this year again. Looks like maybe another 15 to 20% over 2008.

We hunt sunrise till about 10:30 am (before it gets hot.)
Consequently we have great low prices for the 5 hour hunt.

 
Duck season
This also applies to regular duck hunting in this cove of Northeastern Arkansas.

If you have never been in a goose tornado, you need to be here in Delaplaine, Arkansas. I was in a goose tornado last February here that was far in excess of 10,000 birds right in our face all at once. It was similar to buck fever but with feathers. These birds came out of a flock of over 500,000 birds. Incredible!! Take a look, they're in the photo section.
